You're treating yourself, and it's not such a huge, exorbitant expense. So let go of the guilt and self-shame, and allow yourself to enjoy that VIP feeling that you've gotten an expert calligrapher to make your invitations and place cards really stand out. You HAVE to allow yourself to enjoy this process, because you're only in it for such a short time! You'll regret agonizing over every decision if you don't embrace this step.
4. Tell yourself that each investment gets more valuable over time. Are you hurting over a $3,000 deposit for your photographer? Eliminate that money guilt by telling yourself that each picture you get becomes a priceless keepsake for you and for so many of your friends and family...when beloved family members are shown smiling and dancing in these charmed days, your photos become a priceless gift to all. So that $3,000 deposit is nothing compared to the value of that photo of you and your mom someday. Look at future value, and you'll feel better now.
